OGCIS @ Osaka Expo 25 – Canada’s National Day!
OGCIS Osaka-Kansai Expo Field Trip Report
On May 17th, OGCIS students participated in "Canada's National Day" held at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, having received an invitation from the Canada Pavilion and the Expo Executive Committee. Students from Grade 12 served as volunteers, engaging in activities such as guiding visitors and distributing pancakes, helping to enliven the event.
During the official ceremony, there were appearances by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, performances by Indigenous peoples, and Canadian music stages, allowing students to experience the diversity of international cultures firsthand.
In the afternoon, students had free time to visit pavilions from various countries, including Canada. Through AR experiences and exhibitions, they deepened their interest in environmental issues, science, and culture. After returning to school, each student compiled a report on how they would apply their learning to their future career paths.
Through their experience at the Expo, students gained a valuable opportunity to further deepen their global perspective and understanding of the SDGs, cultivating the ability to contribute to the future.
