National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

OGCIS marked the first ever National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with an assembly of all students and staff for discussions related to Orange Shirt Day and the history behind the approval of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by the Canadian government. As an offshore British Columbia school, we are proud to provide our students with an education that acknowledges the historical and ongoing injustices faced by Indigenous peoples in Canada while incorporating the First People's Principles of Learning in our curriculum.  After midterm exams, students will participate in further activities on Oct 13.
